Today was an important lesson. I entered a trade, but I didn’t trust my gut and let the fear of "what if" take over. In trading, there is no place for "what if" — it’s a game of probabilities where cold calculation always beats emotions.
Why did I have to exit?
A strange consolidation began at my entry zone with liquidity being taken from both sides. I knew this was a pattern: to deceive the crowd, the market first makes a sharp move in the opposite direction. That’s exactly what happened — the price went down and then sharply up. The same story happened in my previous trade (you can check my posts).
Trading is a mirror of our psychology. Fear, greed, hope — all of them distort reality and make us see what isn’t there. But the market is merciless: it punishes for lack of discipline and rewards those who can wait and act according to plan. Today I remembered that success here is built not on luck, but on the ability to listen to oneself and exit the game in time when the inner voice whispers: "Stop."
Conclusion:
Trust the system, but don’t ignore your intuition. The market always gives hints — the main thing is not to miss them in the noise of emotions.
