#USNationalDebt A secret attempt at negotiations between the US and Iran has apparently failed, with Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, now in hiding, according to Axios.

Trump and Erdoğan planned a secret meeting between US and Iranian officials in Istanbul. However, the meeting did not take place as Khamenei could not be located — he is reportedly hiding in a bunker due to fear of an Israeli assassination attempt.

Trump was even prepared for a face-to-face meeting with the Iranian president, but without Khamenei's approval, Iran withdrew its delegation. After the failed negotiations, Trump stated that Iran should sign an agreement and warned: "Iran must never have nuclear weapons."

In response, the US increased military readiness, relocating six B-2 bombers from a base in Missouri.
