Semler Scientific aims to accumulate 105,000 BTC by 2027

The healthcare technology company #SemlerScientific (listed on Nasdaq) has just announced its plan to accumulate up to 105,000 Bitcoin by 2027 – equivalent to 0.5% of the total BTC supply – in order to become the second largest Bitcoin holder in the world, after Michael Saylor's Strategy.

This strategy marks a significant transformation for Semler since it adopted the 'Bitcoin Standard' in May 2024. Unlike trend-following investment companies, Semler views BTC as a long-term reserve asset, foundational in nature.

Specific plans:

Achieve 10,000 $BTC in 2025

Increase to 42,000 BTC by the end of 2026

Reach the target of 105,000 BTC by 2027

Funding will come from: stock issuance, borrowing, and operating cash flow. The company raised over 136 million USD through its stock issuance program in April and currently holds nearly 472 million USD worth of Bitcoin.

To lead this strategy, Semler has appointed Mr. Joe Burnett – an expert who previously worked at Unchained – as the Bitcoin strategy director.

According to experts, if the plan is successfully executed, Semler will have a strong influence on market sentiment and the attitude of institutions towards Bitcoin – especially in the context of increasing geopolitical instability, driving demand for 'digital gold' ever higher. #anhbacong
