⚠️ Overtrading: when you are not investing, but chasing an emotion

Many think that the more you trade, the more you earn.

In reality, overtrading is one of the main causes of loss in the markets, especially for those trading crypto in high volatility contexts.

🔁 What is overtrading?

It is the excess of trading activity, often lacking a true edge, fueled by:

anxiety to recover a loss,

euphoria after a winning trade,

compulsive need to “do something” in the market.

🧠 Behind overtrading is the search for dopamine, not profit.

The trader enters an emotional loop → action → release → new activation.

Is it trading or is it a form of behavioral addiction masked as trading?

💡 How to recognize it?

Are you making more than 3–4 trades a day without a clear strategy?

Are you changing your plan on the fly?

Do you feel frustrated or empty when you are not in a position?

Then you are no longer in control. Your brain is trading, not you.

📌 The true trader does not seek emotions: they seek decision-making efficiency.

💬 Have you ever experienced a phase of overtrading?

How did you get out of it?
