Kazakhstan to launch "CryptoCity", a testing area where cryptocurrencies can be used to pay for goods, services, and more.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced this during the Astana International Forum 2025, according to a statement released on May 29 on the president's official website.

Kazakhstan plans to establish a legal framework for CryptoCity, the cryptocurrency-operated city in Alatau.

In his remarks, Tokayev described CryptoCity as a regulated sandbox for experiments related to the adoption of cryptocurrencies.

He said, "We plan to create a leading testing area called CryptoCity where cryptocurrencies can be used to purchase goods and services and even more than that."$USDC
