#PowellRemarks
It seems that the economic wizard, Jerome Powell, has been making more of his famous "statements". In summary? He continues to play the same scratched record: inflation is still a little thorn in the side, the labor market is a gem (for him, right?), and interest rates... ah, the interest rates! For now, they remain high, dancing the waltz of "wait and see".
It's as if he's in an infinite waiting room, holding a "pause" button on the economy, while the rest of the world stands on tiptoes, praying for him to hit "play" again. Will interest rates fall? Maybe. When? "When it's appropriate", of course! Translation: when the planets align, the rooster crows, and inflation decides to go on vacation in another country.
So, hold on to your hats and wallets, because the "let's closely observe" show continues strong and steady. And here we are, just watching Uncle Jerry watch. How exciting!
