Powell has yet to consent to lowering interest rates. However, his only goal is to lower inflation and the number of Americans without jobs. Trump believes that lowering rates will cause American firms to soar, as he publicly called Powell "Stupid." Trump's tactics are effective, but as we've already seen, some US businesses have suffered.
