What the market history teaches us
When Bitcoin (BTC) hit its ATH of $69,000 at the end of 2021, Solana (SOL) also marked its all-time high of $259, just like several other altcoins — such as DOT, AVAX, Cardano, among others.
Shortly after, the big correction came. The market melted down. Altcoins bled for years, with many losing up to 90% of their value. But in 2024, the market regained strength, and Bitcoin led this recovery once again.
At the end of 2024, BTC made a new ATH, and SOL and BNB followed, breaking their previous highs. On the other hand, many altcoins couldn't even recover 50% of the value they had in the last bull run.
And it leaves us with this reflection: If they didn't recover even in the bull, would they survive a new correction? Or would they be doomed to fall even further and perhaps never recover?
SOL is one of the major winners of the cycle
The most relevant data is that, in relation to its own past ATH, the one that appreciated the most was BTC... and right after, SOL.
This is not by chance. With institutional adoption growing and the total market cap of cryptos much larger, market behavior follows a very clear pattern: in each cycle, even during corrections, the lows are always higher than in previous cycles.
We are in a bull market, not in a correction
To be clear: we are not in a correction cycle. For that to happen, BTC would need to drop to at least the range of $95k. What we have today is a heated market, with solid fundamentals and high institutional demand.
Why is SOL one of the best buys in the medium and long term?
Current price in the range of $143 to $150
It is one of the networks with the highest growth in adoption, volume, and development.
Even if the market suffers a correction, the potential for recovery and appreciation is very high.
Thinking in the medium and long term, an entry at these levels is extremely safe, whether for those who want to accumulate or for those who make swing trades.
Practical example: If I buy dozens of SOL today and the market enters a bear market lasting 2 or 3 years, when the cycle turns again and BTC seeks a new ATH, it is extremely likely that I will make at least 100% profit in SOL. Not bad for the long term.
