Let's sharpen the speculative eye with strategies based on momentum and capital flow.
Two pillars that, when combined well, allow you to read the market's 'heartbeat' with very high probability.
🎯 1. Momentum Indicators: Detect Real Momentum
Momentum indicators tell you if a movement has strength or is pure foam. Some of the most effective ones:
- Dynamic RSI (with divergences and breaking the 50 line): It's not enough to know if it's oversold or overbought; what matters is how it reacts near 50. A crossover from below with a positive slope = high probability of upward continuation 📈
- MACD with volume and price action: The MACD crossover alone is not useful. But if it aligns with increased volume and a break of dynamic resistance (like a 20 EMA), you have a powerful signal. Check if the histogram starts to 'shrink' before the crossover.
- Fast Stochastic (14,3,3) filtered with ADX: An oversold signal is only valid if the ADX confirms the trend (>25). In a sideways range, it can generate false positives.
🧠 Key: Momentum is relative. There are 'weak' tokens that rise strongly with little volume because there is little supply. Context is key.
💸 2. Capital Flow: Read the Real Intentions
This is where the pro level activates:
- On Balance Volume (OBV): Ideal for detecting silent accumulation. If the price falls or stagnates, but OBV rises, it can be a signal of strong hands entering 👀
- Volume Profile + Order Delta: Volume by Price shows you control zones. If the delta shows buying aggression over the Point of Control (POC), there is intention to rise.
- Footprint Chart (Delta Cluster): Perfect for seeing absorptions or aggression. Entry with high buying pressure, but red candle? Ongoing absorption: possible reversal 📊
- CVD (Cumulative Volume Delta): If CVD rises and the price falls, pay attention: market orders are buying, but the price isn’t responding. You might have a trap in progress or distribution in stealth mode.
🔥 Momentum Fusion Strategy + Capital Flow (Basic Template):
1. Identify relevant support/resistance area
2. Confirm momentum with RSI/MACD/Stochastic
3. Validate capital flow (OBV, Footprint, Delta)
4. If they coincide: create an entry with low SL and staggered TP
📌 Quick Example:
SUI at historical support, RSI rebounds from 30, OBV starts to rise and the footprint reveals aggressive buying with a doji candle → Tactical entry with short SL = high probability speculation opportunity 💥
