CoinWorld news, June 19 (UTC+8), at the SuperAI conference held in Singapore yesterday, Olivier Klein, Chief Technology Officer of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Asia Pacific, stated that Agentic AI, which has autonomous execution capabilities, is becoming the core driving force for digitalization in enterprises, transitioning from the 'chatbot stage' to applications with greater reasoning abilities and task execution capabilities. He pointed out that AWS has promoted the adoption of intelligent agents across multiple industries in Asia, from software system modernization to enterprise operation optimization, with practical applications already in place in corporate backends. Companies like Grab, Samsung, and Canva have replaced some manual processes with AI agents internally, saving a significant amount of development time. He emphasized that AI is shifting from being 'large and comprehensive' to 'small and specialized' to address energy consumption and cost pressures. In response to the surge in computing demand, AWS is increasing its infrastructure investment, having announced over $47 billion in new investment plans this week alone in Japan, India, and Australia. Klein also mentioned that to meet the sustainable development of AI reasoning computing, AWS is promoting self-developed chips, supporting Language Processing Units (LPU), and expanding the use of renewable energy. Klein stated that future trends worth noting include 'emotional voice synthesis' and 'continuously reconstructing traditional IT systems with AI' to free up developers' time for innovation.
