According to a June 19 report from CoinWorld, a recent poll by Fox News shows that as the conflict in the Middle East escalates, American voters are divided on Israel's decision to strike Iran's nuclear facilities, but there is a general consensus that Iran poses a national security threat and that overseas situations will impact life in the United States. 73% of registered voters believe Iran poses a substantial threat to the U.S., an increase of 13 percentage points compared to six years ago (when this question was last posed). A majority of Democrats (69%), Republicans (82%), and independents (62%) believe Iran presents a real risk, an increase of 12%, 17%, and 4% respectively since 2019. The latest poll released this Wednesday coincides with Trump's call for Iran to 'surrender unconditionally.' The survey shows that voters are polarized over Israel's decision to strike Iran's nuclear program: 49% support it, while 46% oppose it. The proportion of Republican supporters (73%) is more than double that of Democrats (32%) and independents (32%).
