Interestingly, OG Runes still seem like one of the best ways to get eventual Alkanes exposure. Just buy them and wait for the inevitable Runes to Alkanes bridge, then if Alkanes take off, you’ll get to trade them in the superior Alkanes trading environment (trustless onchain AMM).
Because they’re Runes tho, you’re still hedged on an outcome where Alkakes don’t take off.
I think it’s very hard to go wrong with the top 5 runes right now. Only Runes I’d avoid are ones that rely on Runes provenance ($FEHU etc) or don’t have the resources or desire to bridge. Bonus points to Runes that are particularly nimble and forward thinking ($pups is obvious here).
