Ukraine is developing its own artificial intelligence model.
The presentation of the first version is promised by the end of 2025.
Ukraine is starting the development of its own large language model of artificial intelligence – a national equivalent of ChatGPT. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
Fedorov noted that this is a strategic project that will serve as a foundation for the development of new AI products, the emergence of startups, attracting investments, and economic growth.
The uniqueness of the Ukrainian LLM lies in the fact that it will be trained on a local data array – taking into account language, history, culture, and context. This will allow it to operate more accurately in Ukrainian realities than any foreign model.
"The model will better understand our language, history, and context than any Western equivalent. It's not just a technology – it's a step towards digital independence," says the minister.
The first version of the model is planned to be presented by the end of 2025. It will be available for government institutions, universities, researchers, NGOs, and businesses.
Earlier, it was reported that Mattel, a globally renowned toy manufacturer, including Barbie dolls, Hot Wheels cars, and Uno cards, announced a partnership with OpenAI. The goal of this partnership is to develop toys and games with artificial intelligence. The first product developed under this initiative is expected to be released later this year.
Russia has also started using artificial intelligence in its drones.
And what do you think, dear Binance users? Should such technologies be developed in Ukraine, or do we already have 'Diia' and that's enough for us because GPT is generally available on the internet? Or is it perhaps an unnecessary waste of money and could lead to additional data leaks?
