According to the American (Beast Daily) report on the 17th, American writer and journalist Michael Wolff recently revealed that President Trump was dissatisfied with the sparsely attended parade on the 14th and blamed Defense Secretary Esper.

Reports state that Wolff revealed in an interview on (Beast Daily) podcast that Trump intended to hold a “majestic” parade to mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army and his 79th birthday—but ended up with a “festive celebration” parade instead. Reports noted that when thousands of soldiers marched along Washington's Constitution Avenue past sparse outdoor stands, social media users noticed that the soldiers' steps were disorganized, and the bleak atmosphere seemed to echo the gloomy weather.

“Trump also noticed this, and he pointed the finger at his Defense Secretary.” (Beast Daily) stated.

“The president was furious with the soldiers,” Wolff said, “he accused the soldiers of deliberately putting on a show, believing they acted too cheerfully, not only waving and enjoying themselves but also putting on a cheerful face, completely lacking the demeanor expected of a soldier.”

Wolff stated that Trump severely reprimanded Esper on the phone for this: “The tone was all wrong! Why is the tone wrong? Who planned this? There is a problem with the tone!” He repeatedly emphasized this point. Wolff claimed that the parade failed to convey the message of “Commander in Chief” that Trump expected.

In response to this revelation, the White House harshly denied it, calling Wolff a “lying fraud” and accusing him of “always fabricating stories based on his pathologically distorted imagination.”

On the same day as the parade, millions of people across all 50 states took to the streets, launching about 2,000 protest events: they held up signs saying “No Kings,” and shouted slogans like “No rule of law, no peace” and “Abolish ICE,” expressing their dissatisfaction with the U.S. government’s immigration, health, education, and other policies.

Trump, however, still publicly insisted that the parade was a “great success.” (Beast Daily) reported that on the 15th he told reporters, “Last night's parade was a great success, the audience response was enthusiastic; they said 100% chance of rain, yet it didn’t rain at all, it was fantastic.” During a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau at the G7 summit on the 16th, Trump boasted again, “We had a parade a few days ago, they predicted 100% rain, and it didn’t rain,” while Trudeau responded with a polite smile.
