Data from CryptoQuant shows that ETH staking trends have reached new peaks
In June, over 500K ETH was locked in smart contracts, bringing the total amount of locked ETH to a record high of over 35 million ETH. Addresses without a sales history (holding addresses) also peaked at 22.8 million ETH. These metrics indicate the strength of Ethereum in the long term and investor confidence in the project.
CryptoQuant evaluates that these metrics value Ethereum as one of the most fundamentally solid cryptocurrency assets for the long term, thanks to the large amount of ETH staking and community trust.
Staking statistics and signals from reliable platforms
Data from Dune Analytics shows that nearly 1.1 million validators have been active, with a net inflow of 13.9 million ETH since the Shanghai phase. About 28.33% of the total ETH supply has been locked, and the economic value of ETH staking exceeds 91 billion USD. The main staking forms include liquid staking, CEXs, and pools.

Lido continues to lead the list of staking providers, with 9.02 million ETH through 282K validators. A slight decrease of 0.65% last month indicates a slight decrease in competition, accounting for 25.6% of the market share. Other major platforms like Binance and Coinbase also hold significant shares, with an average growth rate in the last 6 months.
Diverse staking methods create market leverage
Analysis shows that 29.2% of ETH (10.2 million ETH) is staked through liquid staking, while CEXs and pools account for 24.8% and 18.3%, respectively. These methods show diversity in how investors enhance their positions in the Ethereum ecosystem.
Coinbase becomes the largest node operator in the Ethereum network
Anthony Sassano, a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency community, confirms that Coinbase has the largest share among validators, with over 11.4% of the ETH staking. Coinbase's validators have an average uptime of 99.75%, demonstrating superior operational efficiency.
They have allocated validators spread across various regions such as Japan, Singapore, Ireland, Germany, and Hong Kong to maintain decentralization, thus reinforcing the long-term safety and security of the network.
