According to Foresight News, the U.S. Department of Justice and Europol have successfully dismantled Archetyp Market, the world's largest dark web drug marketplace. The platform, which facilitated transactions exclusively in Monero (XMR), had a total trading volume exceeding 2.5 billion euros (approximately 2.67 billion dollars).

The primary suspect was apprehended in Spain, and authorities seized assets worth around 7.8 million euros (approximately 8.3 million dollars). Additionally, law enforcement obtained data from 610,000 users and information on thousands of sellers.

In a coordinated effort, Dutch police shut down the market's servers, effectively cutting off global access to the platform.
