Ethereum (ETH) has fallen 7.5% in the past week, continuing to stay below the $3,000 level. Technical indicators reveal that trend strength is decreasing and uncertainty in the market is increasing. As selling pressure rises, it appears that ETH may struggle to recover in the short term.

ADX Indicator Indicates Weakening Trend

Ethereum's Average Directional Index (ADX) has fallen from 27.64 to 20.83, indicating that the downtrend is losing momentum. When the ADX value drops below 25, the market is generally considered to be in a weak or directionless trend. This indicates that Ethereum is struggling to find a clear direction and may enter a consolidation phase.

+DI, which shows positive movement, fell from 26.57 to 17; while the negative -DI rose from 18.60 to 26.22. This change indicates that selling pressure has increased significantly, and bears are starting to take control.

RSI Confirms Momentum Loss

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has dropped from 61.82 to 46.2 in the last two days. This pullback indicates that Ethereum has returned from the overbought zone to neutral territory and that upward momentum is rapidly weakening.

The RSI at 46 does not currently indicate a clear direction, but reflects the hesitation in the market and the decrease in buying pressure. If this value continues to drop towards 30, it could confirm that Ethereum has entered a new down phase.

EMA Structure Indicates a Downtrend

ETH's exponential moving averages (EMA) are currently trending downwards. The price could not break the strong resistance at $2,679 and indicates that selling pressure is ongoing. If Ethereum also loses the support level of $2,479, the likelihood of a price pullback to $2,386 and $2,326 increases.

Upward Probability: Break Above $2,679

If ETH tests the resistance at $2,679 again and manages to break above this level sustainably, the technical outlook could recover. In this case, $2,790 and $2,878 could be the next targets.

The re-bending of the EMA lines upwards and the flattening of the trend will indicate that market momentum has turned positive. However, until this scenario occurs, Ethereum remains vulnerable to the risk of a downturn in light of current technical data.
