Circle's listing has risen by 118%, and its P/E ratio has reached 218

US stablecoin giant Circle officially listed on 6/5, with an issuance price of $31 per share. After opening at $69.5, the stock price surged, reaching $151.06 at the close on 6/16, injecting a strong boost of cryptocurrency into the US IPO market.

However, IPOs are typically only open to professional investors, while retail investors can only buy on the secondary market directly on the listing day. On that day, Circle was directly priced at $69.5 after matching, indicating that even if investors purchased at the market price at opening, their cost would be at least above $69.5, and the return on investment has now reached 118%.

If ARK purchased at the IPO price of $31, the return on investment would be as high as 387%. Previously, Chain News analyzed Circle's full-year financial report submitted for 2024, revealing a P/E ratio that has reached 218.
