The UK is about to 'turn on the green light': Institutional investors prepare to pour money into Bitcoin ETP

According to shares from WisdomTree – one of the leading digital asset management companies – institutional investors in the UK are ready to purchase cryptocurrency-related exchange-traded products (ETP), just waiting for the final approval from the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority of the United Kingdom).

In the coming weeks, if #FCA agrees to open access to crypto ETP products for retail investors, then the inflow of funds from institutional funds – which represent individual clients – will immediately flood into the market, according to Ms. Dovile Silenskyte, Director of Digital Asset Research at WisdomTree.

Currently, WisdomTree has been approved by the FCA to list physical Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs for professional investors on the London Stock Exchange. This change in stance from the FCA is seen as a turning point, as the agency had previously banned crypto derivative products.

Silenskyte noted that most funds will prioritize Bitcoin (estimated to account for 80% of the portfolio), followed by Ethereum (10%) and the remainder in altcoins or a basket of digital assets. “Bitcoin is the primary choice for a multi-asset portfolio,” she said, emphasizing the high non-correlation advantage of BTC with traditional assets, helping to improve performance and overall risk diversification.

This information continues to reinforce the positive outlook for the crypto market in 2025, especially with the influx of institutional capital from the UK – one of the world’s leading financial centers. #anhbacong
