$ETH $PEPE $SHIB A hacker exploited a vulnerability in the quick withdrawal function of the Meta Pool protocol and was able to generate 9,705 mpETH (≈$27 million) for free, but when attempting to exchange it due to low liquidity in the pool, only 52.5 ETH (≈$132,000) was stolen. Thanks to the built-in early detection system, Meta Pool managed to suspend the smart contract and limit losses.
The Meta Pool team noted that the attack occurred through the unsecured ERC4626 mint() method, and the majority of the locked Ether in the SSV Network remains safe. Within the next two days, the team will publish a full report and recovery plan.
