According to PANews, authorities in Russia's Krasnoyarsk Krai have uncovered an illegal cryptocurrency mining operation in the town of Nazarovo. The facility, spanning 30,000 square meters, was located in a state-owned industrial area and was reportedly generating a monthly revenue of approximately 4.6 million rubles (around $58,700). The operation utilized a significant number of transformers, generators, and mining machines, and was illegally connected to the municipal power grid.

Despite previous warnings from the prosecutor's office, the company continued its activities until a court order mandated a complete shutdown of its operations. The discovery highlights ongoing challenges in regulating cryptocurrency mining activities in the region.
