🌍 Nvidia presented cBottle — a digital twin of Earth

The company Nvidia announced cBottle — a generative AI model that creates a "digital twin" of Earth with detail down to one kilometer. This development marks a new stage in the application of artificial intelligence for climate research.

The model allows for real-time climate scenario modeling, considering parameters such as ocean temperature, time of day, and season. Training was conducted on historical data from the last 50 years.

cBottle has been tested as part of the international Global KM-Scale Hackathon with researchers from eight countries. Project partners included the Max Planck Institute and the Allen Institute for AI.
