#VietnamCryptoPolicy Vietnam is actively moving towards the regulation of cryptocurrencies:

🇻🇳 In March–April 2025, PM Chinh instructed the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank to prepare a legal framework for digital assets.

In March, a pilot cryptocurrency exchange will be launched under state control as part of a sandbox project in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.

Currently, the use of cryptocurrency as a payment method is not permitted, but trading and ownership are legal.

The Ministry of Finance advocates a cautious approach: the start date for trading (proposed – July 1, 2026) is currently postponed until further development.

About 17 million Vietnamese already own cryptocurrency, and the market is estimated to be worth over $100 billion. 🛡 As a result: Vietnam does not prohibit cryptocurrency, but introduces legal regulation, pilot trading, and sandbox mode, preparing protection for participants and integration into the financial sector.
