#VietnamCryptoPolicy
Vietnam is gradually perfecting its legal framework for cryptocurrency. On June 14, 2025, the National Assembly passed the Digital Technology Industry Law, clearly distinguishing between virtual assets and encrypted assets, effective from January 1, 2026. The Ministry of Finance is also working on a resolution to pilot the operation of a legal crypto exchange. The new policy aims to protect investors, promote innovation, and control financial risks. Although Bitcoin has not yet been recognized as a means of payment, Vietnam is gradually opening up to Web3 and digital assets.
