Title: I Got Scammed in P2P and Lost $4,000 — Learn from My Mistake 😔💸
A few months ago, I experienced one of the worst moments in my crypto journey — I lost $4,000 in a P2P (peer-to-peer) scam. I’m sharing this painful story to help others avoid the same mistake.
I was selling USDT through a trusted P2P platform. The buyer looked completely legit — 97% completion rate, lots of good reviews, and a verified profile. He sent me a very real-looking payment receipt with a transaction ID and time. I thought it was done, so I confirmed the payment on Binance.
Biggest mistake.
After that, nothing happened. I waited, but the money never hit my bank. I called the bank — no transaction. I reached out to Binance, but since I had confirmed the trade, they couldn’t help.
The buyer? Gone. Blocked me and disappeared.
Here’s what I did wrong:
• I trusted screenshots instead of checking my bank.
• I confirmed too quickly, without real proof.
• I ignored my gut just to get the deal over with.
Lesson: Never confirm anything until the money is in your bank. Don’t trust screenshots — only trust your bank notifications.
Stay sharp. One wrong click can cost you everything.
