In June 2025, the Bittensor roadmap focuses on further scaling, enhancing functionality, and expanding the community.
Q1 2025 (completed): Expansion of subnet functionality and specialization in AI domains, achieving 118 active subnets.
Q2 2025 (current): Improvement of tools for validators, optimization of reward mechanisms, and increasing accessibility for new network participants.
Q3 2025 (planned): Formation of strategic partnerships with decentralized computing networks and AI laboratories; update of community-driven governance.
Long-term goals: Further development of Dynamic TAO, attracting new classes of miners and validators, as well as continuous improvement of evaluation algorithms and incentives to create a more powerful and versatile decentralized AI.
Bittensor is moving towards the creation of a global, self-evolving intelligence network that could serve as the foundation for the next generation of AI applications.
