#CardanoDebate
Cardano is a decentralized, open-source blockchain platform that aims to provide a more secure and scalable infrastructure for the development of decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. Founded by Charles Hoskinson, a co-founder of Ethereum, Cardano uses a unique proof-of-stake consensus mechanism called Ouroboros, which is energy-efficient and secure. Its native cryptocurrency is ADA, named after mathematician Ada Lovelace. Cardano emphasizes academic research and peer-reviewed development, making it one of the most scientifically driven blockchain projects. The platform is built in layers to separate the ledger of values from the reason why values are moved.
