The Shibburn tracking service has reported a jaw-dropping surge in the SHIB burn rate over the past day. In just four hours, the burn rate spiked to 128,371.28%, with over 116,188,140 SHIB tokens sent to dead wallets ā permanently removed from circulation.
This spike was fueled by six major transactions, the largest of which burned 97.5 million and 14 million SHIB, respectively.
To date, the SHIB community has destroyed 410.7 trillion SHIB, while 584.5 trillion still remain in the market.
Meanwhile, Shytoshi Kusama, SHIBās enigmatic lead developer, has stayed silent on social media since May 30. His last update teased ongoing work on AI, Web3, and a forthcoming white paper. His status currently reads: āWriting a final white paper exploring AI, Shib, Shy.ā
