Hedera, Accenture, And EQTY Lab Partner To Advance Verifiable AI Governance For Public Sector

Non-profit entity dedicated to advancing the Hedera public distributed ledger, the Hedera Foundation, disclosed a collaboration with international consultancy Accenture and AI firm EQTY Lab to deliver verifiable AI governance solutions for public sector use, utilizing decentralized, tamper-resistant technologies.

Introduced on June 11th in Washington DC, the initiative combines the capabilities of all three organizations to establish an infrastructure that promotes transparency and integrity in automated decision-making, supported by the Hedera network and EQTY Lab’s Verifiable Compute technology.

Accenture’s Senior Managing Director and Global AI Lead for health, public administration, and defense, Bryan Rich, noted that AI adoption across public sector domains is rapidly increasing, primarily motivated by the potential for large-scale benefits. This growth is accompanied by rising expectations for enhanced oversight, dependability, and transparency.

Bryan Rich emphasized that the integration of these technologies contributes to more effective governance practices and establishes the Hedera network as a foundational platform for the responsible scaling of AI, offering improvements in cost efficiency and the security of enterprise-level autonomous systems.

The partnership involving Hedera, Accenture, and EQTY Lab illustrates a practical application of the intersection between blockchain technology and AI to meet a growing global requirement for transparent, decentralized, and verifiable AI governance. In an environment where public institutions are tasked with overseeing complex data flows and decision-making processes distributed across varied digital infrastructures, this approach provides a framework to uphold institutional oversight while ensuring that automated actions remain traceable, explainable, and aligned with established standards for public accountability.

Hedera Technologies To Boost Transparency

The Hedera network contributes two primary components to this initiative: the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) and the Hedera Token Service (HTS), which together enable the creation of tamper-resistant logs for AI-driven decisions and activities, preserving data reliability across distributed systems. In partnership with Hedera, Accenture is set to design operational guidelines and deployment strategies to help public institutions effectively integrate these technologies and scale AI adoption within structured governance models.

EQTY Lab’s founder, Jonathan Dotan, highlighted that in areas such as public administration, trust in AI systems must be actively established. He stated that this joint effort illustrates how verifiable and accountable AI can be implemented in institutional settings, where maintaining transparency and integrity is essential rather than optional.

Blockchain And AI Convergence To Power The Governance Of The Future

The collaboration between Hedera, Accenture, and EQTY Lab serves as a practical demonstration of how blockchain and AI can be integrated to meet the global demand for AI governance that is inherently transparent, decentralized, and verifiable. As governments increasingly navigate complex decision-making processes and data management across fragmented digital infrastructures, this initiative provides a framework to uphold institutional oversight, enabling traceable and accountable automated outcomes aligned with regulatory expectations.

Within this context, the Hedera Foundation plays a central role in supporting the broader Hedera ecosystem by fostering the development of decentralized finance and enterprise-grade applications. It offers financial support, expert resources, and strategic guidance to help developers and innovators transition their ideas into operational solutions. EQTY Lab, a technology-focused organization, specializes in enhancing trust in AI through cryptographic mechanisms. Its core platform, AI Guardian, is designed to ensure that AI systems remain auditable and transparent, with applications across public administration, life sciences, and financial sectors.
