The "Liberation Day" tariffs announced by Trump are set to take effect in early July, after the President initially revealed them in April but announced a 90-day extension for trade talks. The President threatened to impose high tariffs on the United States' key trading partners unless they agreed to a trade agreement with the country.

So far, the Trump administration has only signed a trade agreement with the United Kingdom and recently formed a trade framework with China.
