What is happening now

1. Tariff levels have been increased: as of June 4, a 50% tariff on steel and aluminum was introduced (previously it was 25%). 

2. Tariffs on Chinese goods have been added up to 55% as part of a new agreement (tariffs + rare earths) .

3. The introduction of a number of new investigations (lead, pharmaceuticals, copper, aerospace industry) under Section 232.
