đ˘ #CryptoRoundTableRemarks
The SECâs latest roundtable brought serious heat to the DeFi conversation.
đš âEngineers shouldnât be liable for how others use their code.â â SEC Chair Atkins
đš âCode is protected speech.â â Hester Peirce
đš âSmart contracts outperform human regulators.â â Erik Voorhees
And theyâre right. DeFi isnât a threatâitâs a transformation. Developers arenât intermediaries, theyâre builders. Open-source code should be protected, not punished.
Trying to regulate decentralized systems like traditional finance misses the whole point. DeFi is transparent, permissionless, and built to empower users. Regulation needs to evolve with the techânot slow it down.
$ETH is at the center of this shift, and the space is only getting louder.
