🧠Topic: What is a DAO - how decentralized organizations work, who makes decisions, and how to participate (and earn) in them#cryptoland_88
🏛 #DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) - is a form of organization in the crypto world, where decisions are made not by a director or manager, but by the community, through smart contracts and voting by token holders.
⚙️ How it works:
A DAO has a treasury managed through smart contracts
Participants hold governance tokens
Those who hold tokens have voting rights
All decisions are made through public voting:
— where to spend money
— which products to launch
— which partnerships to enter into
👥 Who makes decisions?
🔹 Owners of governance tokens ($UNI , $AAVE , $ENS and others)
🔹 Active community members (forums, proposals)
🔹 Delegates and validators (in complex structures)
🧠 Why participate in a DAO:
✅ Influence the development of projects
✅ Receive rewards for voting (airdrops, incentives)
✅ Work in a DAO - as a contributor, designer, moderator, etc.
✅ Build a reputation in the Web3 environment
💼 How to earn in a DAO:
🔸 Participation in votes → sometimes rewarded
🔸 Supporting projects (writing, design, development)
🔸 Grants from the DAO for implementing your ideas
🔸 Investing in DAO tokens at an early stage
📚 Examples of well-known DAOs:
Uniswap DAO - manages the development of Uniswap
Aave DAO - makes decisions about the credit market
MakerDAO - manages the stablecoin DAI
ENS DAO - responsible for domains in Ethereum
🔧 Where to track and participate:
Snapshot.org - DAO voting
Tally.xyz - DAO management and delegates
DeepDAO.io - analytics on DAOs
Agora - discussions and proposals
📌 Conclusion:
DAO is a new format of collective governance and earning in #Web3 .
