$BTC $ETH $BNB Trump calls on the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates by 100 basis points, claiming that the next chair will be announced soon
U.S. President Trump is once again pressuring the Federal Reserve on social media, urging them to lower interest rates by 100 basis points. He referred to Federal Reserve Chair Powell as a "deserving gentleman," accusing him of supporting high interest rates, which has led to a loss of national wealth in the U.S. and increased borrowing costs for the federal government.
Trump believes that if the Federal Reserve lowers interest rates, the U.S. will be able to significantly reduce both long-term and short-term interest rates on emergency debt, and that there is currently no inflationary pressure; even if inflation resurfaces, it can be controlled by raising interest rates.
Trump also stated that the results of the appointment of the next Federal Reserve chair will be announced soon, and he has a pretty clear idea of a potential candidate. He added that a good Federal Reserve chair will lower interest rates.
