X is down once again in Pakistan and in other countries, shortly after recovering from a previous outage on Thursday and Friday. Trying to use the X app shows an error message saying "Cannot retrieve posts at this time."
Site outage tracker Downdetector is showing a surge in reports from Pakistan as well as other countries, with users facing problems in logging in, loading the app, or their feed. The web version is also refusing to load for everyone.
The social media platform formerly known as Twitter faced a disruption a few days ago, which had to do with a data center outage at the time. The previous outage started on Thursday, May 22, and lasted until Friday, May 23, with the service gradually recovering in phases for users around the globe.
However, Pakistani users remained mostly unaffected by this outage at that time, but now it seems the problem is affecting everyone, with tens of thousands of reports from the UK and other regions.
The reason behind this outage remains unclear, but there is a chance it has to do with the previous data center outage. We will update this space as soon as we have official confirmation.
