Crypto ATMs:
Are they allies of the future or traps of the present?
Cryptocurrency ATMs (BTMs) promise financial freedom on the street.
But if you don't know how to use them, you could end up inadvertently financing a scam.
How do these traps operate?
Many scammers use fake calls posing as:
Government entities (AFIP, FBI, IRS, etc.).
A family member in distress.
Technical support from Binance or PayPal.
They ask you to urgently go to a Bitcoin ATM and scan a QR code they send you.
You think you are paying a fine, a debt, or helping a loved one…
But in reality, you are sending your money to a scammer.
Why does it work?
Because the scammer creates an environment of:
Urgency
Fear
False authority
Strong emotions
And also, ATMs do not allow reversing transactions.
Once the transfer is made, the money disappears.
Tips to avoid falling for it:
✅ Never scan a QR code that you did not generate yourself
✅ Be wary if they pressure you with urgency or legal threats
✅ Verify the number they are calling from by searching on Google or the official site
✅ Do not use ATMs to "help others" with crypto money
✅ Ask Binance for help through official channels if something doesn't add up
