No reconciliation! Trump still considers canceling Musk's government contracts, is it easy to cut off interests?
U.S. President Trump and his former ally, Tesla founder Musk, have not yet mended their relationship.
On the 6th local time, Trump stated that he has no intention of proactively contacting Musk and is still considering canceling his government contracts.
"We will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the situation. This is a huge subsidy," Trump said, adding that the premise is "that this is fair to both Musk and the nation."
Musk's SpaceX and satellite internet service company Starlink have long relied on federal contracts and subsidies. According to reports, SpaceX has received over $22 billion in undisclosed contracts from the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA since 2000.
However, even if Trump is determined to sever this interest tie, there are significant obstacles to the actual operation.
