🔁 Trading pairs are the foundation of any deal in cryptocurrency trading. However, not everyone understands how they work and why their selection is critically important.

💡 What are trading pairs? They are the ratio between two assets, for example, BTC/USDC. You are not just “buying Bitcoin” — you are exchanging USDC for BTC at the current rate.

📌 I pay attention to 3 things when choosing a pair:

1️⃣ Liquidity — the higher it is, the better the prices and less “slippage”.

2️⃣ Volatility — an active pair = more opportunities for profit (and risk).

3️⃣ Base asset — do I want to accumulate it? For example, in the ETH/BTC pair, I am actually trading the ratio between two cryptocurrencies, not against the dollar.

🧭 In my strategy, I combine USDC pairs for profit taking and crypto crosses (for example, SOL/BTC) to build long-term positions without converting to fiat.

🎯 Tip: always understand what you are selling and what you are exchanging it for. This small detail changes everything.
