Crypto adoption increases
According to Forbes, Kazakhstan plans to launch several pilot projects in the area of digital assets later this year.
The National Bank of Kazakhstan held a meeting with representatives from banks, crypto exchanges, and financial companies.
The Bank approved the launch of cryptocurrency cards. These cards will allow cashless payments and withdrawals in fiat currency, with instant conversion from cryptocurrencies.
The initiative aims to increase the adoption of cryptocurrencies by integrating them into the traditional financial system, aligned with the country's interest in blockchain and support for platforms licensed by the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC).
