🟡 BREAKING NEWS: Metaplanet Adds 1,088 BTC Again! Target of 10,000 BTC is Getting Closer
Metaplanet, a Japanese investment company, has caught the attention of the crypto market again after purchasing 1,088 Bitcoin (BTC) worth US$114 million at an average price of US$107,000 per BTC today, Monday (June 2, 2025).
With this latest purchase, Metaplanet's total Bitcoin holdings now reach 8,888 BTC—worth more than US$930 million. Since it began accumulating BTC in April 2024, the company aims for 10,000 BTC by the end of 2025 and 21,000 BTC by the end of 2026.
To fund this aggressive expansion, Metaplanet has issued bonds worth US$21 million, part of a total of US$135 million in debt financing that has been raised this year—similar to the strategy of Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy.
