When I started getting involved in cryptocurrencies, my biggest problem was that I couldn't buy or sell at the price I wanted. The orders that are executed 'instantly' (Market orders) seemed the easiest to me. But I quickly realized that when prices rose and fell very quickly, or if the currency wasn't being bought and sold much, the final price would change without me wanting it to. This took away quite a bit of my profits. That was when I set out to really understand 'Limit' orders. For me, learning to use them was a key moment. Now, if I don't have to buy or sell right now, I always place a Limit order. It allows me to wait for my ideal price and avoid the price changing without my intention, something that used to bother me a lot. Knowing how to properly use Limit orders gave me much more control, making my trades much better and with less stress. I highly recommend that those who are just starting take their time to understand them.
