Sources told the Wall Street Journal that a group of the largest American banks is exploring the possibility of collaborating to launch a stable digital currency, in a move that could fundamentally change the banking sector's relationship with the world of cryptocurrencies.
The ongoing discussions include major banking institutions such as JPMorgan, Citigroup, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo, along with several other large commercial banks.
