The European Commission announced today (31) that it is ready to adopt countermeasures in response to the recent increase in tariffs on steel and aluminum imposed by the US. The retaliatory measures, which may come into effect by July 14, aim to protect the European industry and consumers if negotiations with Washington do not progress.
