What is Oracle technology in the crypto world? 🤔
In the blockchain world, smart contracts are very powerful, but they have one problem:
😢 They cannot fetch data from the outside world by themselves!
🌹 This is where the "oracle" comes in.
The oracle is the bridge between the blockchain and the real world.
👍 A simple example:
Imagine a smart contract that gives you a reward if the price of Bitcoin goes above $70,000,
but how does the smart contract know what the price is!
This is where the oracle comes in, providing the information from an external source (like Binance or CoinMarketCap).
🤔 Oracles are used in:
Updating currency and stock prices.
Knowing the results of matches (in contracts related to betting).
Inputting weather data or news.
Any information "outside the blockchain" that needs to be entered into the smart contract.
😎 The most famous oracle projects in crypto:
First: Chainlink (LINK).
Second: Band Protocol (BAND).
Third: API3.
👋 In short: Without "oracles", the blockchain remains isolated from the real world.
Their presence opens up huge prospects for smarter smart contracts that are closer to reality. 🔔
