🚀Telegram raises $1.5 billion, integrates Grok from xAI – TON skyrockets
Telegram is about to complete the issuance of bonds worth $1.5 billion, with a 5-year term and a 9% interest rate, allowing conversion into shares if an IPO occurs. BlackRock, Citadel, and Mubadala are among the major investors participating.
The entire amount is used to buy back old bonds issued in 2021, maturing in March 2026 (Telegram has already spent $400 million).
Additionally, Telegram received $300 million from Elon Musk's xAI to integrate the Grok chatbot onto the platform, contributing to a more than 20% increase in the TON token.
