Hoskinson Prefers Ripple to Coinbase in the Struggle for Circle Acquisition

Charles Hoskinson, Cardano's founder, has shared his thoughts on the multi-billion-dollar race between Ripple and Coinbase to acquire Circle, the issuer of the popular stablecoin USDC. He indicated a preference for Ripple, stating that such a deal would diversify and improve the crypto space, breaking the monopoly of Coinbase and a16z-Circle.

He also hinted at ongoing discussions to introduce Ripple's RLUSD to Cardano's ecosystem. These comments come amidst rumors of Ripple's potential $9 billion+ bid for Circle, which outstrips earlier offers of $4-$5 million that were rejected as too low.

The possibility of a partnership between Ripple and Cardano has been suggested before, but no official confirmation has been given yet.
