Saylor's Strategy Purchases an Additional $427M in BTC Using Funds Deemed Expendable
Strategy, co-founded by Michael Saylor, has disclosed the acquisition of an additional 4,020 BTC valued at roughly $430 million. The purchase was likely made at the start of the previous week, with an average price of $106,237 per BTC, before the cryptocurrency reached a new all-time high of $109,000.
With this acquisition, Strategy now holds 580,250 BTC, purchased over the course of nearly five years at an average price of $69,979 per BTC, totaling over $40.6 billion. Given BTC's current valuation of approximately $110,000, Strategy's holdings are now estimated at nearly $64 billion, representing a potential gain of over $23 billion.
Saylor had previously indicated that he only purchases BTC with money considered expendable.
