TODAY I LEARNED THIS:
📌 What is the Funding Rate?
The Funding Rate is a periodic fee that perpetual contract traders pay on Binance (and other exchanges) to keep the position open. It is calculated based on the price between the perpetual contract and the spot price of $BTC .
👀 If the Funding Rate is positive, it means that longs (buyers) pay shorts (sellers). This happens when there is more buying pressure.
👀 If it is negative, shorts pay longs, indicating greater selling pressure.
📊 Analysis of the Current Funding Rate: 0.0069% (positive)
This tells us the following:
✅ Interpretation: There are more traders in long (bullish), betting that BTC will continue to rise. The market is confident in a short-term upward movement.
The rate is still moderate, not extreme, indicating that there is no overheating for now.
⚠️ Professional warning: If the funding rate rises much more (for example >0.03% for 8h), it may indicate a risk of correction, as many traders are in long and a "long squeeze" may occur.
📈 Will BTC rise or fall in the short term?
Based on: The current upward trend, the positive but healthy Funding Rate, and the lack of reversal signals in the main technical indicators,
💡 It is likely that BTC will continue to rise in the short term,...at least until testing the resistance zone at $113,000 - $115,000 USD.
However, watch the Funding Rate: If it continues to rise significantly, it could be a sign that a small correction is coming.
If it remains stable or decreases slightly, the rally may continue more cleanly. #AprendiendoCripto #BinanceSquareFamily #BTC
