NEW SCAM: THEY ACCESS YOUR GMAIL AND EMPTY YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.

A new and dangerous phishing scam is alerting Gmail users. Cybercriminals send emails that pretend to be from Google's support team, warning about alleged unauthorized accesses or security issues with the account. The message urges you to click on a link to "verify your identity" or "reset access".

By clicking, the victim is redirected to a fake page that perfectly mimics the Gmail interface, where they are asked to enter their email and password. In this way, unknowingly, they provide their credentials directly to the scammers. With access to Gmail, the attackers can steal saved passwords, access associated bank accounts and other linked platforms, and even spread the scam to the victim's contacts.

It is crucial to be suspicious of urgent messages, suspicious links or those with errors, and always verify the sender's address. If you suspect an email, do not click, do not enter personal information, report it as phishing, and enable two-step verification on your Google account. If you have already fallen for it, change your password immediately and contact your bank.
