One of the largest banks in the world, JPMorgan Chase, has completed its first transaction settlement involving U.S. Treasury bonds on a public blockchain. This transaction utilized tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds from Ondo Finance and connected JPMorgan's internal private system to the public Ethereum network through Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). This marks the beginning of traditional financial institutions handling real-world assets (RWA) on public blockchains. According to DeFiLlama data, the total value of tokenized real-world assets locked has exceeded $12 billion, distributed across more than 80 different platforms. BlackRock's tokenized money market fund currently holds nearly $3 billion, while the demand for tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds supported by Ondo Finance is also surging. $ETH
